We have established objectives and goals for our Ward Relief Society in each of the six areas shown below.
Area #1: Faith
OBJECTIVES
Ø Sisters will increase in faith and personal righteousness.
Ø Sisters will routinely seek, receive, and act on personal revelation.
GOALS
1.A. 85% of endowed RS sisters hold a current recommend
1.B. Promote daily personal scripture study
1.C. Increase attendance at stake/ward temple day(s)
1.D. Promote daily personal prayer
1.E. Promote sharing of testimonies
Area #2: Family
OBJECTIVES
Ø Sisters will strengthen their families and homes.
Ø Sisters’ homes will be a refuge.
GOALS
2.A. Promote family scripture study
2.B. Promote daily family prayer
2.C. Promote Family Home Evening
Area #3: Service
OBJECTIVES
Ø Sisters will regularly serve the Lord and His children.
Ø Sisters will recognize the Lord needs them.
GOALS
3.A. Participate in 2 service projects
3.B. Expand care to young mothers and expectant mothers (nursing room, meals, etc.)
3.C. Promote principles of self-reliance
3.D. Increase number of RS sisters serving as set apart temple workers
Area #4: Unity
OBJECTIVES
Ø Sisters will “be as one”.
Ø Sisters will know, love, and care for each other.
GOALS
4.A. Hold 3 joint RS/YW meetings this year
4.B. Increase attendance at RS meetings
4.C. Increase monthly visiting teaching to 65% by June and 75% end of year
4.D. Reactivate at least 3 RS sisters
Area #5: Outreach
OBJECTIVES
Ø Sisters will actively reach out to friends and neighbors.
Ø Sisters will pray for and pursue missionary opportunities.
GOALS
5.A. Increase participation in clubs sponsored by RS (active, inactive, & non-members)
5.B. Increase number of referrals from RS sisters to 2-3 month
5.C. Five convert baptisms resulting from RS sisters
5.D. All new RS sisters get endowed one year after baptism
Area #6: History
OBJECTIVES
Ø Sisters will learn about the rich history of Relief Society which they share.
Ø Sisters will apply the historical principles, purposes, and patterns in their lives today.
GOALS
6.A. Make the forthcoming RS history accessible to all sisters
6.B. Devote 1 weekday and 3 first Sunday meetings to this topic
6.C. Promote recording of experiences as we “make history”
